The navMap application functions as a preprocessing tool that enables the transfer of solutions between different computational grids. Thus, navMap can accelerate the simulation process by transferring existing solutions to a topologically different computational grid as a starting solution. Furthermore, the application is a useful tool to prepare simulation results generated on different grids for further processing with navROM.
